Donkey
It's not often that an experienced exotic-meats eater like myself gets to try something new, but last night I had my first tase of donkey meat. As you'd expect, it didn't taste too good, but it was edible. Like most second-class meats, it was served in a pot in a spicy stew with a flame under it to keep it hot at the table (since it will be eaten so slowly, due to it's mediocre flavor). It was spicy and tasted like a gamey meat - that's about all I have to say on the donkey front.

we have a proverb,it says "天上的龙肉,地上的驴肉",literally,it is translated into "the dragon from the sky and the donkey meat from the ground" its real meaning is that in the sky the dragon meat is the best,and on the ground,the donkey meat is the most delicious.Of course,we've never seen the dragon,it just exists in the legend.But we've got donkeys on the ground.:) I've eaten the donkey before,it seems not like the proverb saying.Anyway,it should not be so that bad,I guess.I don't know which restaurant sells donkey meat in Beijing,I would look up the internet,and take a try that meat if I have enough time.
